The Enlisted Association of the National Guard of Kansas (EANGKS) Auxiliary was organized in 1975 and became the 32nd chartered member of The Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (EANGUS) Auxiliary in August 1982.
The purpose of the Auxiliary is to support EANGUS and EANGKS in attaning their legislative goals and objectives and to provide support and fellowship among National Guard families. Along with supporting the EANGUS/EANGKS legislative efforts, the Auxiliary is also concerned with family issues and provides scholarships for members and members children/grandchildren.
The motto of the Auxiliary is “Side by Side We Stand with Pride”.

Availavle Auxiliary Memberships
Auxiliary Annual Membership: Must be a spouse of an active, retired, or former Guard member who is a current or lifetime member of EANGUS/EANGKS. This membership is inclusive for the state and national levels.
Auxiliary Life Member: A current annual member may apply for life membership by paying a one-time dues payment that is determined by current state and national dues that apply up to age 60. The applicant’s spouse must be a life member of EANGKS and EANGUS. This membership is for the national level only.
Auxiliary Associate Member: An individual who supports the objectives of the Auxiliary, but does not otherwise qualify for an annual or lifetime membership.
Auxiliary National Life Associate Member: An individual who supports the objectives of the Auxiliary but does not otherwise qualify for annual or lifetime membership. This membership is a one-time payment of $100.00 for national membership only.

Legislative:
The Auxiliary provides support of EANGUS/EANGKS Legislative efforts for the improvement and retention of benefits for all members of the National Guard and their families.
A few of the benefits attained through the legislative efforts of EANGUS/EANGKS are:
1994 – VA Burial Bill was passed expanding burial bendfits to National Guard Members.
2000 – TRICARE for Life for Medicare eligible retirees & families passed. TRICARE Senior Pharmacy program started.
2001 – Immediate commissary access granted.
2003 – Made VA home loans permanent and also authorized unlimited commissary access.
2008 – Allow transfer of GI Bill to spouse/children with service commitment.
2016 – Succeded in changing the federal definition of the word “Veteran” to include National Guard and Reserve Retirees.
2021 – EANGKS lobby the Kansas Legislature to pass a 2 vehicle property tax exemption to include all active drilling National Guardsman.
